Chippewa Valley Chapter

Message from the Dean

Chippiwaw-Valley-Organ-400x265

Welcome to the Chippewa Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. We are located in the west central part of Wisconsin, in Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls, and the surrounding area. We are one of 300 chapters of the national organization, which serves approximately 15,500 members in the U. S. and Europe.

The mission of the AGO is to foster a thriving community of musicians who share their knowledge and inspire passion for the organ. We share our passion for the organ by public concerts by members and guest recitalists. Knowledge is shared by offering student scholarships, and in workshops and scholarly presentations.

All are welcome to attend our public events. Membership is open to all.

Lloyd Harter, Dean

Membership

You don’t have to be an active organist or choirmaster to join the Guild. In fact, you don’t have to be a professional church musician at all. Membership in the Guild is open to all, and the only real requirement is an interest in the organ and/or sacred choral music. Information about joining a chapter is found at

https://ago.networkats.com/members_online/members/ago_new_member.asp

Or email Liz Wilson at Email or Lloyd Harter at lloyd_harter@achm.k12.wi.us

I find value in my AGO membership because of the educational resources available and the opportunities to participate in community service. The AGO challenges me to learn more, expand my network, and get involved!
